I uninstalled the Beta software from the Control Panel "Add/Remove Software" option.
When it finished, I had a shortcut in my "Quick Launch" bar that used to point to PJS, but no longer had the PJS logo (It had the Windows "some application I don't recognize" icon). After installing the new version, this shortcut was live, but ran the installer rather than launching PJS. I had to move the shortcut from my desktop to the Quick Launch bar and delete the icon from the previous version.
Not a big deal to fix, but it does make me wonder what else PJS Beta missed in the uninstall.
More importantly, when I uninstalled, PJS left the SQL Server and data on my harddrive. This is good if I am uninstalling in order to upgrade, but bad if I am uninstalling to protect my privacy because I am giving away the computer. Could the uninstall ask the user if s/he wants to uninstall BOTH PJS and SQL Server and then take care of it all in one shot ?

Jeff,
Generally, you will not have to uninstall PerfectJob in order to upgrade, so this was an unusual situation. Sorry to have left the old shortcut -- we did check for that, but apparently missed it in your configuration. In general, an uninstall does get rid of all of the PJ components.
However, PJ does not uninstall SQL Express, nor Crystal Reports. We did some research and that appears to be the 'standard' for PC applications. We decided that it was better to leave the tools and have people uninstall them separately if they wanted to, rather than uninstall them when they were still wanted. Due to security controls, PJ has no way of knowing if you, as a user, have put other data into SQL Express that you want to keep.
We could certainly prompt and launch an uninstall of SQL Express and Crystal Reports if there is a groundswell of requests for it.
